Pazam is the largest community of soldiers in Israel, with a community of about 165,000 soldiers. Pazam was established in 2011 and it meets and cares for its members on a variety of platforms through the native app, facebook, instagram, tik tok. Points of sale at IDF bases end-of-track equipment and end-of-track events and military training.
As part of my ongoing work at The Pazam I was also asked to design the next version of The mobile app. The app was created in 2011 with the aim of connecting close friends and informing who is leaving this week and who is staying to close Saturday.
Challenge
To increase the time users use the app due to lack of usability You usually enter the app to check the time remaining until release and nothing more and to renew the design language that has not changed for 5 years to match the current trends.
Solution
Inserting the "fun" into the app - bringing color into a militant world and interactions that will leave the user more connected to the app. Ability to send content within the app and receive feedback from other users, A stronger connection to the pride of the unit by unique the profile in the color of the unit. I've also upgraded the notification system so that the user gets more information about their friends - Information it can't get on other social apps.

UI Design
Creating the styleguide and the wireframes helped me refine the app’s design language. I then applied the styles and placed the objects and components on the sketch app.
Home Page
The app's famous timer has undergone a facelift and allows for a more comfortable view and the information transition is more accessibleIn addition, the small counts feature has been upgraded and received its own uniqueness in each time count by an appropriate illustration.In addition, an area where you can consume social content of statuses, photos and memes.The shouting feature where we send our friends shouting at alert is presented as a faster and more accessible feature to the user thereby increases its activity.
Toolbox (Pakal)
Pazam's Toolbox (Pakal) brings together all the tools of our customers and also tools that we built specifically for the soldiers such as a system of important lists, recipes, guides for the young soldier, discounts and more.
